Kiwanis Day Care Center is much more than a child-care facility. Throughout the year, we offer support to our families through a variety of special programs, such as Christmas baskets and school supplies. We also have several ongoing programs to support our families. Watch your newsletter for special announcements about these and other exciting opportunities.
We understand that some families just need a little extra help. It's a sad reality that many families struggle to provide food for their children. As a result, many children go hungry, especially during weekends and holidays when supplemental meals are not provided. Kiwanis Day Care Center works to bridge this gap by providing backpacks filled with snacks and easy-to-prepare food each Friday.
Our Backpack Program is available anonymously to any family who requests assistance. Contact our director for more information on our backpack program.
Reading is an important tool for both children and adults to succeed. To encourage reading for all ages, we have a free Lending Library at the Center. Just "Take a Book, Leave a Book!" Children of all ages, as well as an adult, can take books that interest them and we encourage you to leave a book for someone else to enjoy if possible.
Our library, located in the Pre-K hallway, includes books for young children, toddlers, elementary student, young adults and adults. If you would like to donate books, please bring them any of the offices.
